# Personal Statement

Those fortunate enough to pursue their dreams often find profound fulfillment, and I am grateful to count myself among this fortunate group. My unwavering ambition to expand my knowledge in the field of Computer Science drives me to seek advanced studies overseas. This pursuit is not merely an academic endeavor but a deeply rooted passion.

My fascination with Computer Science began in my childhood when my family acquired our first computer. This early exposure sparked my curiosity about the mechanisms behind computer operations, especially during gameplay. By the time I was in primary school, my father had bought a computer for my personal use, and it quickly became a central part of my extracurricular activities. From primary school through high school, I was known as the student most knowledgeable about computers in my class.

Currently, I am an undergraduate student majoring in cybersecurity, a specialization within Computer Science. However, my interests extend beyond this niche, encompassing the broader realm of Computer Science and technology. To systematically study this field, enhance my programming skills, improve my English research paper writing, and prepare for a doctoral degree, I began engaging in research from the second semester of my sophomore year. This commitment to academic excellence has yielded remarkable results. I have excelled in courses such as Linear Algebra, Mathematical Analysis, English for Academic Purposes, C Language Programming, Discrete Mathematics,Fundamentals of Computer Software,Data Mining and Security Management, Computer Systems,Principles of Network Science and Technology,Introduction to Cryptography, Cryptographic Engineering, and Data Structures and Algorithm Design, consistently ranking among the top in my class.

My deep-seated interest in computer technology is the primary driver of my academic journey. The process of learning and applying computer theories has allowed me to fully realize my potential. Programming, in particular, is a passion of mine—it is a dialogue with the computer and an expression of my ideas. I find the process both intellectually stimulating and creatively fulfilling.

In my academic career, I have mastered multiple programming languages, including C, Java, and Python, and developed an understanding of their underlying universality, which facilitates the rapid acquisition of new languages. Additionally, my knowledge extends to deep learning, machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and software engineering. These competencies have been honed through my involvement in three distinct research groups. One group focused on developing deep learning-based recommendation systems, another on the security issues of recommendation systems utilizing LLMs, and the third on the automatic completion of test oracle problems using LLMs. My major in Cyberspace Security has provided a unique advantage in researching security-related topics.

These research experiences have deepened my understanding of the Computer Science field and reinforced the importance of practical application alongside theoretical study. Recognizing that research papers are a critical measure of a student's research capability, especially for those aspiring to doctoral studies, I have placed significant emphasis on academic writing. Under the mentorship of Professors Zhida Qin, Fei Sun, and Hui Liu, I have engaged in extensive research and paper writing. My research interests lie in recommendation algorithms, computer security, and large language models. To excel in these areas, I have undertaken substantial preparatory work, including studying the fundamentals of machine learning, mastering linear regression, and completing online courses such as Stanford University's CS231n (Deep Learning) and CS224n (Natural Language Processing). I have become proficient in models such as KNN, CNN, and RNN and delved deeply into recommendation algorithms discussed in papers on LightGCN Simplifying, FMLPrec, Neural Graph Collaborative Filtering, Self-Attentive Sequential Recommendation, and S3-Rec.

My research efforts have focused on optimizing and enhancing recommendation systems. In my paper "Behavior Habits Enhanced Intention Learning for Session-Based Recommendation," I constructed hypergraphs to capture user behavior habits and combined them with global item transition relationships, significantly improving recommendation accuracy. This research involved data analysis, machine learning, and graph neural networks. Under my advisor's guidance, I validated the framework's effectiveness on multiple datasets, confirming its superiority and expanding my knowledge of graph neural networks and recommendation algorithms. Additionally, in the paper "CaDDiSR: Context-Aware Dynamic Data Integration and Storage for Recommendations," I designed a dynamic data integration framework that considers the context of user interactions to enhance recommendation accuracy. This project provided valuable insights into data storage, context-aware computing, and machine learning. Furthermore, in my LLM test oracle research, I analyzed the characteristics of C, Python, and Java languages, exploring the potential of using LLMs to automatically generate assertion statements. This work aims to successfully publish a CCF-A paper, further solidifying my research foundation.

In addition, during my assistant tasks with the Institute of Computing Technology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, I made significant breakthroughs in the area of "Security Issues of Recommendation Algorithms Based on LLMs." By integrating recommendation systems, natural language processing, large language models, and security, I gained invaluable insights and advanced my expertise.

Looking ahead, I plan to conduct more in-depth research in my current areas of focus. I am eager to join your research group as a research assistant and participate in self-funded offline research internships during winter and summer vacations. With continuous effort and learning throughout my junior and senior years, I am confident that my research capabilities will significantly advance by the time I pursue doctoral studies. The development of computer science has brought numerous applications that enrich our lives. I believe that computer science is a vital tool for improving life quality globally and can empower individuals to contribute to world-changing innovations.
